Tariston to build Hagudi – Alu Rail Baltica section

Estonian construction company Tariston has been awarded the contract for the construction of the 7 km Hagudi – Alu section in Rapla county of the major Rail Baltica project. The project includes the construction of embankments, accompanying facilities, and infrastructure. The construction contract has a net value of around €30.6 million. Work is scheduled to begin in autumn 2024 and be completed by the end of 2027. The contract also includes the construction of the North and South Hagudi Vie tunnels, the necessary access and maintenance roads, as well as noise barriers. One of the largest challenges on this section will be the construction in the Hagudi Marsh, where Tariston will have to build a concrete structure of more than 600 m in difficult conditions and with minimal disruption to the environment.
