Hyperloop T-Flight reaches top speed of 623 km/h

The Chinese hyperloop system T-Flight has reached a top speed of 623 km/h during a test run in the Chinese province of Shanxi, beating the previous world record of 603 km/h set by Japan's Maglev magnetic levitation train. Developed by the China Aerospace Science and Industry Corporation (CASIC), the Hyperloop consists of capsules that are propelled in a sealed vacuum tunnel using magnetic levitation technology. CASIC plans to extend the test track to 60 km and reach speeds of up to 1,000 km/h. The infrastructure of the test track is only allowed to have a maximum unevenness of 0.3 mm. The long-term goal of the project is to build a magnetic levitation train for passenger transport between Wuhan and Beijing, which can reach speeds of up to 2,000 km/h.
