Siemens Mobility receives order for signalling technology for the KVDT2 project

Manufacturer Siemens Mobility has been awarded a contract by Dhaya Maju Infrastructure to install digital signalling technology for the second phase of the Klang Valley Double Track project (KVDT2). The project involves the renewal of 106 km of track, the installation of new signalling and communication systems, and the refurbishment of stations along the suburban rail line connecting the Klang Valley suburbs near Kuala Lumpur. Siemens Mobility will supply and install the Trackguard Westrace MK II interlocking system, the Clearguard ACM 250 axle counting system, Sigmaguard LED signalling, and R5 9 DC track circuits. The manufacturer is already responsible for the implementation of a communication-based train control (CBTC) signalling system for the automatic operation of Klang Valley Light-Rail Transit Line 3 in Malaysia.
