Railway safety technology companies, Tended and Dual Inventive, have announced a partnership to introduce geofencing technology in the Netherlands to improve safety and efficiency in the Dutch railway industry. The two companies will support ProRail in enhancing the safety of its trackside teams. This is set to begin with a project in the Netherlands later this year in collaboration with the RailAlert Foundation. Tended's geofencing system makes it possible to map safe work zones in an online dashboard. Devices attached to machines and people then send out a warning when they leave the safe working boundaries.
